Work-Link Hinckley offers 'real' volunteering opportunities for people with mental ill health and other disabilities in a supportive environment, we recognize their valuable input, the skills and experiences they bring and we work with them to help them achieve their goals.
Volunteers are normally recruited via referrals from a number of sources, the majority come from the local community mental health team, social workers, day centres and Volunteer Action.
Every volunteer does a valuable job and as they work they do gain a sense of achievement as they serve customers, P.A.T test electrical items, work on a database, design a poster or collect and deliver our recycled furniture & electrical goods.
Sofa Loughborough offers work experience in a friendly environment where you can develop your skills in office administration, customer service, warehousing, van delivery, upcycling or housekeeping. There may also be opportunities to undertake accredited training including NVQs and ILMs.
